Dean or Director in Interior Design

Prince Sultan University- College for Women is a private, non-profit institution. It offers a Preparatory Year Program in which students develop their English, Math, Computer and PE skills to the standards required for their further study in English-medium undergraduate courses & graduate program (MBA), offered by the University. We have opportunity for a well-qualified, committed and experienced Dean or Director in Interior Design. Selected candidate will be required to join at the earliest.

The successful candidate is expected to provide strong leadership and managements skills in working with faculty in curriculum development and strategic planning for the program; to recruit excellent and fully qualified faculty for the program; serve on College and University Committees; provide strong leadership skills in working with College administrators, interior design professions and other allied professions and disciplines; and teach in the Interior Design Program.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Master in any of the following: M.S., M.F.A. or M. Architecture and/or related discipline. Those with Ph. D. or near completion of a Ph. D. in the same fields will have preference in hiring. Commitment to quality in teaching and research is required.

* Consistent with current cultural norms in Saudi Arabia, female students are segregated from male students in all aspects of the programs. The same is true with its faculty/administrative members.

The University is expanding and is situated in well equipped new premises in north-central Riyadh. We offer one-year renewable contracts and competitive salaries based on academic qualification and teaching/administrative experience. Other benefits include: medical insurance coverage for the employee & dependents residing within the Kingdom; transport allowance; air tickets for employee and dependents (spouse & 2 children of not more than 18 years of age) to Riyadh on appointment & upon final departure from KSA to country of origin; round trip tickets for annual leave with paid annual (summer) vacation of two (2) months; tuition fees for school-age dependent children residing within the Kingdom (4 years up to 18 years old); paid leave for local holidays; end-of-service gratuity. Free, furnished accommodation plus essential utilities and maintenance will be provided if available or successful applicants may choose to take a housing allowance based on basic salary.
