Hi! I am a Title 1 Reading teacher in a small elementary school. I'd like to share my online reading activity list that I sent home with my students. Before I post the link to my online reading game megalist, I want to make a few points clear. First, I think reading is best taught through the use of books. Second, learning from internet reading games should always be with a teacher/parent/assistant to guide or prompt the learning that is going on. You don't want just kids clicking away. Don't replace reading instruction with these online games. Some of the sites are good, but its not the extinsive, intensive reading instruction some struggling readers need. Last, these games can be most useful for kids to use during the summer months to help the regression of learning. The list isn't perfect.
