Hi, I teach third grade in Florida and am having trouble locating the newest edition of social studies standards Florida is implementing. The ones on the DOE site are older... 2010. There's been newer ones hasn't there?

How effective can social medias be, such as facebook, twitter, wordpress and others in the middle school and high school social studies classrooms?
How is social media viewed in a Social Studies Classroom? Is there any way it could be used educationally or have any teachers used it in there lessons?
Any ideas for a good chapter book based about geography for 2-3 grade?

I am lost I am a math not social studies fan and need to come up with a lesson using a game specific to a culture or country,like Senet for Egypt, Fang BAO- China, Kolap - Australia, etc. I have to fit it in with Ancient World or American History Sunshine state standards.
