I teach 12th grade Government in deep blue San Francisco. I want my students to be exposed to a broader range of political views than I can find in my classroom. I am looking for a Social Studies teacher in a conservative part of the US to partner with. My idea is for us to have our students have moderated discussions or debates on current political issues on which they are likely to have different views. The goal is to increase their awareness of and empathy for different views across the US.
