My last day is in less than a week. I really enjoyed being in this kindergarten classroom but am having trouble picking out a good gift for my coop.

At first, I thought i'd get a teacher store gift certificate, but she has a lot leftover from fundraising. Then I thought about Starbucks, but she got $20 as a recent gift.

She has a digital camera for the class and frequently runs out of space on the memory card. I thought I'd get her a memory card, but she doesn't seem to use it that much.

Please help, I want this gift to be useful for a kindergarten teacher, but I'm out of ideas.

joe Lets not all be martyrs here...having a student teacher is a boon. It is part of being a professional to want to help others along...if I were guiding a student teacher, I would expect nothing more out of the student teacher than a willingness to learn and a thank you at the end.

Not a martyr Joe, I wish you all the best. I agree that when guiding a student teacher, I would expect nothing more out of the student teacher than a willingness to learn and a thank you at the end. Good Luck and I hope you enjoy your career and get to enjoy mentoring many student teachers who are as capable as you.

Have to agree. The first thing my coop did when I student taught was run to the teachers lounge to sit on her behind and gossip and made it abundantly clear how much "work" she was able to get done when I took over...See More

Not a martyr I am very sorry you all had such negative experiences. You were robbed of a tremendous learning opportunity and those cooperating teachers did you and your students a huge disservice.
