I am interested in receiving information from student teachers who are also college athletes.

Can you student teach when you are in season?

If s, what are the rules when you have to miss a partial day or day opf school due to travel to a contest?

ann17c I played soccer at a D1 school and I was not able to even do my early field expereince while I was in season. Do...See MoreI played soccer at a D1 school and I was not able to even do my early field expereince while I was in season. What I ended up doing was pushing back my early field experience for a semseter and just taking 12 credits of interesting classes.The next semseter I started my early field experence and then the semester after I did my student teaching. Doing this made me graduate a semester later then I planned but it was well worth it. There was no way that I could travel for games and still make it to all of the required hours for student teaching. I found that by not being in season I had a lot more time to focus on planning etc.
