I visit another sub board. There is a sub who revels in being a jerk to the students. This time, the teacher told him not to lend out pencils, but left four pens that the students could borrow. He hid everything and lent out nothing (I believe this was high school, maybe middle school). As a retired teacher, I would have been furious if a student didn't have work done because the sub didn't follow my directions. As a sub, I follow the teachers' directions. There ARE some students who do not have materials. After 20 years in the classroom, I know that. And there are others who just don't bring materials to class. But, this guy just loves making life hard for the students and then leaves mountains of sticky notes with names of the "bad" students in hopes that they will be sent to the boot camp school across town. mrsd It was very polite, but direct and stern. I am so tired of his glee in "getting" the kids in trouble, including having them sent to alternate school. Karen

Octo_888 Many of us here visit BOTH this board and THAT board. I know exactly who you're talking about, and probably so do many others. I do not agree with you referencing his post here.
