HI all. I'm new to this chat. I was injured on the job while subbing at school in nyc. A ball hit me in the head. I got a minor concussion. The hospital and doctors told me to rest for a while in order to heal and not go into work. The union said that since I'm not a regularly appointed sub I can't get coverage for days I had to take off to rest. I also can't collect workers comp. This seems so unfair like sub teachers are being discriminated against. Does anyone have experience with this or have any advice?

Jean Hmm...I don't work in NYC, but worker's comp has covered every instance where I have been injured on the job. I hope you can work this out.
