I wonder how many blogs will follow the new Amazon path re sales tax. I went to one of the blogs recommended in another post here read it's been pulled to honor the new Amazon policies. Judy P.S. I love Amazon so there's no judgment here.

Is it because of the state's taxing items bought through Amazon.com the same way they tax goods purchased in brick and mortar stores?

Thank you, Diane, for sharing. I've been teaching for 16 years now and one of the worst changes I've seen in the schools is how so many teachers don't want to help each other without getting something in return. (TeachersPayTeachers comes to mind.) When I first started teaching, I remember the teacher who brought me to her room and told me to rummage through her file cabinets for anything that I might find useful. You don't see that as much anymore.

Thanks so much Teachers.net for keeping us updated and busy for the month of June. When you work by your self (one room school house) it's nice to connect with other teachers and get revived for the new school year. It's great to be reaffirmed about what you are doing is right and that the struggles you have are not yours alone. Thanks for sharing.
I was interested to read "men's" post saying he or she was hired to write a blog! I'd like to know more about that. Are there ways to earn money by writing a blog, even if it is just through google ads?

I was thinking about trying to do something after 'retirement" to be able to do from home. I had inquired at an on line teacher training program about becoming a mentor or tutor. When asked for my resume, I sent a general one. The owner of the company then somehow recognized me from my writing on one of the chatboards and asked if I was that same person. When I acknowledged that I was, he was the one who thought I would be ideal for writing a blog for interns as well as seasoned teachers. This was all TOTALLY unexpected and new to me. The training center gives me a list of questions that I answer keeping the number of words to a minimum. From what I think I am supposed to do is exactly what I have been doing for years on t net for free. It's not enough to support a family but it should be a nice at home income temporarily. I like to write and I like to share, so I think I will like it, especially since the blog is using all my training and experience. Nice fit as far as I can tell.
I was telling some family members about it, and my niece said that her mother in law writes a fashion blog that she gets paid for and she gets paid "very well." She said that there are companies willing to pay for one's expertise and experience to represent the company using a blog format.
So, I am not the authority on writing blogs or how to get paid for writing them. This is new to me, too. Good luck to those who are interested in pursuing the possibility! men
well i think teachers are not willing to face formidable challenges that confront them .They must stand and fight bravely in introducing technology in classroom. They are the champion of all odds .so why to wait and watch start teaching with web -technology.
I clicked on the link, but I don't see the blog. It seems to have come up as a broken link.
Can you re-post it? I'm excited to see it.

I experienced the same thing as TW and feel the same way. Once you get the link fixed will be happy to share some thoughts. Hope you repost soon - Gen F.
