No amount of flipping through picture books of Ireland will prepare you for your personal encounters: Dublin Castle, Trinity College, and St. Patrick’s; the pilgrimage town of Knock in County Mayo, where villagers saw apparitions of the Virgin Mary; The Blarney Castle with the chance to acquire the ‘gift of the gab’ by kissing the Blarney stone; . Limerick, the setting of the film Angela’s Ashes; Killarney and its lakes; a scenic drive across Macgillycuddy Reeks and the Ring of Kerry, along the beautiful Donegal coast via Yeat’s country to Bundoran; and much more... .
