Hello, I was in a 3rd grade classroom last month and the students were struggling with equivalent fractions. As part of a learning activity, I looked online for simple tools that may help teachers and the students struggling in the classroom. I came across Conceptuamath. It is an interactive, visual app tool ideal for whole group instruction. It provides students with a visual representation of the fractions and they use the models to generate simple equivalent fractions. In other words, the models show why the fractions are equivalent. The teachers will only need to guide the students by providing them with questions of equivalent fraction to find. The app also lets students check their answers right away.
