I am about to start tutoring a 3rd grade boy. His basic reading skills, like phonics and decoding, are fine. He needs help in more advanced skills like fluency, spoken expression and speed. (His reading is a little bit slow; According to his teacher, this student's reading is close to where it should be.)
I did some research and it seems like the best thing I can do is share stories and give him plenty of feedback. Are there other things that would help?
