I am in a co-teach situation. We are going to teach 36
first graders in one room in the fall. Last year, we
tried to do math centers, but they were SO LOUD we could
not hear our small groups. The kids missed out on a lot
of manipulative and hands on learning. Does anyone have
any ideas how we can handle it this year? Is there such a
thing as quiet, effective math centers? Thanks for any
advice.

that many in one room is bound to be loud! That said, here's

1- Try to section off the room with furniture as much as
