Let's face facts, how many people want to spend money they do not have in the first place on candles and candy bars? Sure, discount cards are priced a bit higher than candy bars, but it is the value that entices those without much money to spend to buy. The one-year life of the card will provide them with dozens of opportunities to save much more than the $10 they spend to purchase the card - and when the savings are on items that you normally buy every day? Well, it's just smart business to offer a product that genuinely helps people financially when times are tough.
Let's be honest; when you hold a fundraiser, your goal is to raise as much money as possible for your project. Fundraiser discount cards allow you to offer something of legitimate value to your customer, which makes you feel good. Some people would feel a bit guilty selling a $12 box of cookie dough to someone they know really cannot afford it. With a fundraiser card, you never have the feeling that you are "pushing" a product on the customer because they really do appreciate the savings they will experience over the weeks and months.
Whether you have a small or large group that will be participating in your fundraising activities, these cards cannot be beat as far as profits are concerned. Even if there are only 20 in your group, you can expect a 50% profit margin which equals $1,250 - imagine how the profits will rack up when you have a larger group! Profit margins increase with the number of cards you sell. Sell 500 discount cards (which can easily be accomplished with 40 or 50 participants) and your profit margins soar to 70% - which means an extra $3,500 in funds for your project.
Do candy bars, candles, jerky and catalog sales help support your own local community? This is a question you should ask yourself the next time you are looking for a great product to offer your customers. Discount cards fundraiser support not only your group's project, the customer saves money and merchant's in your local community experience an additional boost in business as well. These cards feature a dozen to 15 merchants on the backs of the cards, most of them local merchants in your area offering discounts and buy-one-get-one-free deals. They get new customers and a growth in business, you get the funds you need, and the customer is happy as a lark because they are saving so much money!
You can search the world over for the "very best" fundraiser item available today, and you won't find anything that offers the incredible value that a discount cards fundraiser do. After you've finished wasting your time come back to where the real value is. This is a product you will count on again and again when it comes time to add to your group's funds without all of the hard work involved in other fundraising activities.

But Moolala also offers a 2% referral fee for any discount vouchers you refer, and who they refer down to five levels deep. If you count it up, that can be a lot of money. An organization can also sign up for a Moolala account.
It costs nothing to sign up. You just need to enter an email address at [link removed].
One thing I like about this is that you can sign your organization up, then have members of it sign themselves up under the organization. Then ask them to sign other people up. Your organization can even sign up other organizations, which may greatly increase the amount of money earned.

My online jewelry store just started fundraising for school PTAs. Every customer has the option to pick out a school for us to donate 10% of the sale. We could probably work something out for your cause. We may be able to raise that amount to 15% for you. You'd have to be able to get the word out though. This may not work for you. If you think it could you can email us at [email removed].
Best, Tim
