I recently found a company which created a custom game as a fundraiser. It’s called “YourTownOpoly” and is based on the famous Parker brothers “Monopoly”. The idea here is to sell the properties to various businesses in your town, and the company will provide you with a complete game set that you can sell for $20 to $25 dollars.

There are 40 spaces on the typical board and you can sell these for $275 each. The “Go to Jail” space can be sold to a law firm for example, and it should be quite easy for one or two members of your group to sell all 40 spaces. You can also sell the ‘Community Chest” cards and “Chance Cards to a local business. I’ve even seen a bank pay for the play money used in the custom game. Finally you can sell Sponsorships on the board for additional revenue. When you sell all 40 spaces you send the funds to this company, Pride Distributors, who will make 500 custom games for you.
