So I do not think $300 is too much for a rug. Yes expensive but I'm waiting to see if my PTSO will reimburse me since the school purchased rugs for first grade last year and never checked with K.
I also have tried carpet squares and mine wiggle all over on them. Very distracting. I've trid tape on the floor and the colored squares work so well and I don't have to put so much work into it.
Teacher Kim McCloud, who’s been successful in winning 11 grants in two years, funding many classroom materials and projects – even field trips – shares her winning strategies.
Kim McCloud is a first grade teacher in Tumwater, Washington. She has been successful with grant writing tips and wishes to share those tips to help other teachers.
Kim says: I have won 11 grants in the past two years-including 3 field trips (for my entire first grade), a writing curriculum, math materials and manipulatives, reading materials (books for my guided reading time as well as for my Nightly Reading Program in which my kids check out books to read at home), white boards, erasers, markers, and storage units for them. You name it, I apply for it! My kids benefit sooooooooooooooo much from it! I hope others can benefit from my grant writing tips!

A local church is talking of selling and want 120,000 for a very historical landmark here. What, if anything, can I do or where can I go to get the funding?
I am wanting to start a daycare/non-profit in Maryland and need start-up grant funding. I already have my non-profit status but do not know where to go for funding.
I am also looking for a grant for the opening of an adult day care. Can you tell me how to reach Brookdale and have you had in luck. The need in my part of the world is there. I just cannot find a start. Thank you for any info you may have. Sandra from Port Arthur Tx

Does...See MoreI'll be teaching at a new high school this year that has limited equipment available to me. I'm a French teacher and I like to show videos, clips from the Internet, Power Points, etc. Unfortunately the TV in my room is TINY, meaning that students are going to have a hard time seeing what's on the screen, let alone read any subtitles.
Does anyone know of a grant for individual teachers to purchase technology equipment? I've done several searches online but haven't really found anything.
