Hi,

I teach tenth grade English at a middle-class suburban
school in Delaware. Next year will be my second year. I
would REALLY like to apply for a few grants to offset the
costs of extra materials that I get to supplement what my
school provides.

I've tried (and done) a lot of research online, but I feel
like most grants are for the severely underprivileged or
extremely creative.

Can anyone please help me to really get the ball rolling? I
don't just need information about grants; I need to be
pointed to actual grants for which I can apply.

Thank you in advance for your time!

Most sincerely,
~Jamie~

Jamie;

For small grants go to your local Wal-Mart, Target and other
stores and ask for applications. Also visit

I would like some personal CD players for a literacy project with
books on CD. My school also is middle class but without a lot of

When you go into the store ask for the manager and then ask for a
grant application.
