I am researching starting a K-12 christian private school,
that will provide a quality K-12 education, along with a
resource program for children who are struggling in K-8
grades. For High school, there will be the traditional
college tract and a life skills/work skills program for
children who cannot meet their potential in a typical
education model. My daughter is special needs and falls
into the "blackhole" of public school with being too high
for typical quality services, but too low to achieve in
typical academics. THERE IS A HUGE need for children in
this range and my goal is to have a school which helps
these children with just extra programs in a traditional
christian school model.
I have my business plan written out and my budget and
growth plan for 1-5 years.
Where do I go from here? Where can I apply for legitimate
grants for starting a non-profit? I am constantly
