I wanted to share a great website with people looking to get resources for their students and classrooms! DonorsChoose.org is an awesome non-profit organization that allows teachers to post project proposals so that donors can log in and fund them. Over the past 3 years, i've gotten thousands of dollars worth of resources and materials for my students. I've been able to get things ranging from basic supplies such as pens, pencils, and paper to specific musical instruments and technology. I've gotten tons of books, cds, dvds, bookshelves, play scripts, computer speakers, a digital camcorder, binders, clipboards, chairback bags, gardening supplies, math manipulatives, literacy games, and much much more.

It's such an easy process and the reward is so great! It's the easiest grant writing you'll ever do.

I encourage you to check it out, and i'm definitely willing to help anyone get started!
Heidi R. DonorsChoose.org is excellent; I've used it before. There other good ones as well. Here's a listing of several that will help with grant writing, give away stuff or, like DonorsChoose, provide a place to connect teachers with donors.

SchoolGrants.org is one of my favorites.
