gifted children

My avocation is a non-profit school for the gifted child regardless of family income or social status. What strikes me is the focus at public schools to meet federal and state funding goals has challenged the educator to work at meeting that goal, completely overlooking the above average to gifted child. In an effort to educate to the lowest ability child, none of the children, including the struggling child are receiving an academic prepared education. Our public education system is creating a trend of a two class system. Our next Einstein's are slipping through the cracks. Its not just how can we educate our kids, its how can we sustain and grow the middle class culture- parents let your voice be heard - tell our legislators - get off your bums, time for school vouchers. We pay your salaries, we the people want high quality education for all children. SL
