This year I am thinking about planning a week of
activities to celebrate RAA. I would like to have a theme
or event for each of 5 days. So far I have 3 ideas, some
of which I saw posted on this board:
1. Banner day-each class make a banner promoting reading.
Banners will be displayed in the school hallways.
2. Whoville Hair Day- wear your hair like Dr. Seuss
character.
3.Guest reader day- volunteers from the community visit
and read to the students.
I may talk to the librarian about the possibility of
a "Battle of the Books" competition.
Does anyone out there have some useful ideas that I can
use? Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
