julia I am a music teacher and usually do a month long study of composers with my third graders, one each week covering the four major periods of music history. I like to use the series of books called "Famous Children: Handel (or Bach, Chopin, etc.) by Ann Rachlin. Our library has them. Gloria Thanks so much for your suggestion. We do have some books about composers in our library, but not the ones you mentioned. I'll look for them at the public library.
