Can anyone refer me to any good web sites for Read Across America? I'm a 2nd year teacher and I'm responsible for this day since I'm the upper elementary reading teacher. I've never lead any school events before and I'm a little nervous about being completely responsible for it.
I wasn't going to go w/a Dr. Seuss theme since kids are already very familiar w/those books and they need to be introduced to other great authors.
I think I might incorporate reader's theater in the day. Any suggestions?
