I am thinking of putting together a gingerbread exchange for K,1,2. We could do a 50 states version of the Gingerbread man. Decorate the Gingerbread Man to represent your state, and include a paragraph about your state/city. The writing could be something that your class writes together and then the teacher types up. I was thinking we could mail in early November. Email if you are interested, I will take first inquiries from each state.
I would like to participate in this with my Kindergarten classroom. I teach in PA. Thanks, Jennifer Keating

Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to pull this together. One of my new team members is very ill. She has been gone for over half the school days so far, and the brunt of the prep has fallen to me.
I just don't think I can take this on, I really wanted to do this. I am terribly sorry. It's early, maybe you can form an exchange anyway.
I am a sixth grade ELA teacher in upstate New York looking for another class that would like to be pen pals. I have three sections of students with 18 students each. Please let me know if you are interested. This can be an amazing experience for studnets. Thank you.

Hi Erica
I'm a Middle School 6th Grade teacher and I will be teaching an elective course on Youth and Society. I teach at MS 131 located in New York City, Chinatown. Chinatown is an very urban and most of my students don't travel outside of their neighborhood. Students will be learning about children's rights and how their society/culture is different across the United States. My plan is for students to interact with other students by writing to one another through mail (letters or email) similar to Penpals. If you're interested in doing this with your class please let me know? I have roughly around 26 students.
I am a 6th grade middle school special education teacher in Ozone Park Queens, NY. I would like to start on a small scale and begin a pen pal writing project. Having students from Chinatown and Queens corresponding may seem too small but it may just be the right way to start for me. Please respond if you are interested. Ivette

I have organized a page that each month will address a "Math Trail" problem. All problems involve making observations in your school, on your school yard, or in the nearby neighbourhood. The first question is How many cars will drive past our school in 5 minutes? You would make predictions and decide how you would record your information when you go outside. After you are done you would take your data collected and then put it on the page I have created. At the end of each month teachers can looks at the page with their class and make comparisons and conclusions. If you are interested in this please email me!

What kind of project were you thinking about, pen pals? I teach 10 girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Reading/writing levels vary from 4-12 grade. I would love pen pals from similar aged students. Sound interested?
I teach kindergarten in Georgia. We have a class mascot and would like to find classrooms that would be willing to host our mascot for a week or two. If you are interested please email or post. We would really appreciate it!!!!!
I teach third grade in Maryland. I would very much be interested in hosting your class mascot. Please let me know if you would be interested in sending your "friend" to Maryland. Please email me.

I am researching die cutters to buy for my school, and I was curious about people who use die cutters and what you think of them. I was looking at Sizzix, Ellison, QuicKuts, and Accucut. Has anyone used any of those brands and had a good/bad experience? Thanks!

Our school has used Ellison for about 10 years and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about them. We have probably 200 of them in our publishing center to use for projects
