Please contact me...See MoreI am a first grade teacher willing to organize this very exciting project. The idea is to make and decorate gingerbread people to represent your state. You will then need to send a gingerbread person to each class who participates in this project. It is a fun way to teach your class geography and facts about our country.
Please contact me, if you'd like to be part of this project. I will need your name, the name of your school and your school's address. Also, contact me if you need more information.

Carol, if you still are accepting participants, we would like to join in. I participated a couple of times before with my third grade class, and it was lots of fun. Here's my address: Robin Klein Tisdale School Grade 3 200 Island Ave. Ramsey, NJ 07446
The lead fourth grade class from Plainville, CT will write two paragraphs in the Wiki to begin a story. Students will create a picture (computer generated, or digital image of hand drawn picture) to illustrate their paragraphs. One picture will be chosen for inclusion in the Wiki, and uploaded. The teacher will then email the other participating teachers, letting them know the first paragraphs have been posted. The second class will have one week to post two more paragraphs and a picture. Once that's posted, the teacher needs to email all participating classes. This continues until all classes have added their two paragraphs and picture.
Additionally, there will be a Wiki page for each class to share information about their state or region. Plainville fourth graders spend much of the school year studying regions and biomes. The information shared by other classes will help them in their studies.
The Instructional Technology Specialist from Plainville, Ann Farmer, will be available by email ([email removed].
If you're interested, please EMAIL the project coordinator, Ann Farmer: [email removed]
We are a 5th grade class in Kansas who is looking for another class outside of the US to do a travel buddy exchange. The exchange would be from December-March. If you're interested, we'd love to connect with you.

Help!! While searching for activities for romeo and Juliet I found a foldable and journals for beginning ways to introduce themes and journal topics. Now, I cannot find the web site. Does any teachers have ideas for these. Thank You Liteature
In the past, as some of you know, I have done a major email map project with my students. We haven’t done it for a few years, but I think I have a group of kids who would enjoy doing this, and would do a great job, while learning lots! I love doing this with them, because it is something we can all do together as a class.
What I need you to do, (if you would) is send us an email, and tell us a little bit about where you live. A couple fun little facts about your area would be great! In the past, some people have sent us links for us to go to and look at things in their town, some have sent pictures, and others simply tell us the name of their city and state. As you can see, anything you have time for will be greatly appreciated! We are hoping to get at least one email from each state, and all the Canadian Provinces, and maybe some other countries!
My older students are going to actually find the town, and mark it with a colored pin, while the younger ones will have a map they will color the state. If you live in a small town, please give us a bigger town to start us on the journey to your town! I have roadmaps for each state to help us find the smaller towns.
In advance, I would like to thank all those who help us! When we are all done, I will try and either email you a picture with the kids and their map, or else put one up on my school webpage and send you the link if you want!
