Theresa and I think your idea for a traveling mascot accompanied by a journal inclusive of photos, personal experiences, etc. is fantastic. Due to writing assignments with other possibilities, we would like to keep this exchange in the upper grades from 4-6.
It would be great to get a couple more teachers/classes from different regions as I am from South OC, CA and she teaches in a completely native community in Canada. The southern, northern, or mid-west regions would be great, but just let us know if you're interested. We think different ways of life would be eye opening for our kids!
