I have taught for 31 years and I am certified in Louisiana
and Texas. I will retire from Texas, but want to continue
in my field after we move to the Mobile area. I am a
highly qualified teacher: GT certified, ESL certified,
Life time cert. for K-8 in Louisiana.I am Reading Recovery
trained and presently teaching RR and I am also an
Instructional Facilitator at my school for pk-1 grades. I
am serving as a mentor for new kindergarten teachers. I am
still very energetic and love going to work each day.How
difficult will it be to find a position in this area??

Hi Laurie,
Wow you have quite a bit of experience....Unfortunatly, you
will not be able to get a job in Mobile County. We are
awaiting a 500 person reduction of force. It was tabled at
the 4-22 meeting and rescheduled for 5-5-08. This is my
tenure year (my 8th year as an SLP, with masters and CCC's)...See More
