Hello and thank you for reading my post! :)

My fiance and I are both in college to become teachers. I am majoring in Secondary Education and Biology and he is majoring in Secondary Education and Social Studies. I am just wondering what kind of job market can we expect? I have heard that science majors can find a job more easily, but I have heard that Social Studies/History majors have a hard time finding a job. Could anyone here shed some light on this topic for us? We live in AL. Thank you guys! :)
UNION bound Northern States I would brush up my "accent" and head North to civilized places that value education like VA (non union) like Northern VA (FAirfax), MD (job fair April 1st in Baltimore), and even WV with low salaries but great health benefits.

Marian I'm sorry to say, "Don't come to Wisconsin!" However, that said, there are older teachers who are retiring now due to the fact that we will see lower salaries and lay offs soon. It's still a wonderful state with good schools and interesting people. Ya, you betcha!
