Laura, I agree that paddling is a good deterrent all through school. I have taught and my wife is currently teaching .The amount of time spent dealing with disrespect, violence, lack of any learning, etc has increased ten fold over the years. We as a society are all self- centered "I have my rights!" loudly proclaims the student, lawyer, doctor, etc, etc, etc. What about repsecting the rights of others? I grew up without discipline.I can't number the times a paddling would have done me a world of good.I skipped two years of school,as I just didn't want to go.I was disruptive in class the point I never learned higher mathematics. Soon I will have my masters degree in education and I will not likely join the soliders on the fron line as they battle to be heard over the students and parents that want their rights.Sadly, where my wife works, most of those kids will join the welfare leagues or fill the prisons for a "career". Taxpayers, pay for their foolishness.I would take a paddling today,if it wou...See More

God 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

23:13 Withhold not correction from th...See More
