Arkansas educator Dr. Clara Carroll, will speak at a national teachers conference this summer in Washington, D.C. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is hosting a conference that will convene hundreds of the teachers across the country to discuss practice-based approaches focusing on closing the achievement gap and engaging students in learning.

Carroll, a National Board Certified Teacher from Searcy, Ark., will be leading a discussion on ways to support adult learners at the conference. There will be several prominent voices in education speaking at the conference, including bestselling author Dan Pink and 2010 National Teacher of the Year Sarah Brown Wessling.

All teachers are invited to attend in-person and online via the virtual conference.
