Campus vs. Online Degrees

Do you think it is better to get your Elementary/Special Ed at a campus instead of online? Do employers in AZ treat online degrees the same as traditional campus based degrees? Would getting my degree online lessen my chances on getting a job? Thanks inadvanced. :)

KAthie I received my SPED degreeonline and received a quality education. I donot think it matters if you do it online or in person. It is what best suits you and your situation. If a prinicpal turns his.her nose up of an online degree from a quality university then you do not want to teach at that school.

AIMS Scores - schools that were low in performing

Did anyone see the AIMS results for Arizona schools?

Looks like many of the poor performing schools were on the west side.

ex teach yep, many in Yuma which is where I used to teach! Glad I got the heck out. However, how is AZ getting away with the No Child Left Behind laws? This school year, ANY school that didn't make AYP has to then pay for tutoring for their FFB students AT the schools. They have to use something like 20% of their Title I? funds.

jan22 I believe that Arizona is going to apply for a waiver from NCLB. That way the scores won't count. Correct me if I am wrong.

I am starting this year with a very small new charter school and the principal wants a Title 1 program. Does Title 1 require a reading endorsed teacher (which I am )in any way? Thanks for any imput.
