When teaching as a resource teacher is it better to teach your class by teaching the deficit area or is it more effective to teach the current grade level lesson and modify it? For example, if you have a 4th grader that is 2 years behind in math, should the child be taught at the 2nd grade level or the 4th grade level with assistance? What is the best practice?
ja22 It depends on what diagnosis the child has. There are many students who can access the content but not necessarily the same way the other students are accessing the curriculum.
