All the hours you work, all the crap you put ...See MoreSociety does not value teachers anymore, The tide has turned and it appears that we are the problem in the classroom. At my old school, the principal and vice principal supported the student and did not support the teacher. My dentist actually felt sorry for me when he found out what I did for a living. All the hours you work, all the crap you put up with and your paycheck is a little over $1000 every two weeks. Teachers are expected to be magicians or superman. I think the majority of teachers just feel undervalued. The media or politicians say how they are for education but they don't put their money where their mouth is. Subs at my school are paid $80 a day. That's about $67 a day take home. LOL!!! I will plead to my own children when they grow up to stay out of education.
