Verrado MS and other school experiences

I am interviewing for an ELA position at Verrado MS in Buckeye. I live in Michigan but will be moving to Arizona this summer, so I do not have a lot of info regarding the schools or living areas. Does anyone have any experience there? Is this a good school to work for? Is the area a good place to live? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on other good schools to work for and places to live?

DM I've heard good things about Verrado schools and also Litchfield District. Verrado is a newer "cute" residential community way out in the west valley - not really right in the center of Buckeye. Mark I second that comment on staying far, far away from Littleton.

The uppers, including most principals need to go. Little or no experience and they only hang out there because nobody else will hire them. Bad place overall and the kids and teachers suffer!!!

Kim / Verrado/ Littleton Yes Verrado is great!!! Upper class all the way but maybe a bad person here or there but the school is good. Yes, I third the comments on Littleton. It;s bad!! Attracts the inexperienced admin. and teachers are treated poorly duew to low test scores. Good luck!!

BuckeyeTeach Verrado is a nice community with a good student population. Unfortunately, most teachers can't afford to live in the area unless they have a spouse with a decent salary.
