Teaching on the rez

Teaching on the Rez means you can get fired for any reason (or no reason) and there is NO unemployment to collect. They are Not required to collect (or pay) unemployment for their teachers.

Teaching on the rez means you are listed as exempt but still have to punch a time clock and get docked on your pay if you are even 5 minutes late no matter how far you drove to get there or how bad the weather is.

Teaching on the Rez means they can fire you to hire a Native teacher (Native preference).

Teaching on the Rez (if you are a white person) means dealing with the anti-white attitudes of the students, the parents, the other teachers, and the administration. Kids will call you names, tell you to STFU, act crazy, and no sending them to the office because they won't follow through. Native teachers can take your supplies and never pay you back.
