Hope someone can answer my question! my daughter has been teaching biology and chem in a catholic school for the past 6 years. She holds a micro biology degree from University of new Hampshire. She just took and passed praxis 1, and also took and passed the praxis for bio and passed. My question is, can she apply for certification or does she have to take other courses to complete her certification? Thanks for your help!
elsiev She would need to either do the Alternate Route to Certification, or would need to gain a master of arts in teaching degree. She may have all the science she needs, but she does not have the teaching courses, probably doesn't have the required special education courses, etc. that are required for certification. ARC Grad Have her get the M.A. in Bio Education. She would need one eventually anyway. The ARC program to me was a way for the people running it to put money in the hands of guest speakers.

I sat through numerous lectures such as "Inner city schools are much different than those in affluent suburbs" . YEAH, NO SH*T Sherlock!
