I am interested in becoming an elementary school teacher.
I was wondering if school districts prefer or give
preference to hiring male elementary teachers?

Teacher Chatboards
Most districts do not care if you are a male or a female. If
you are going to get certified in Elementary Ed., be sure to
have a back up certification area, such as Math or Science,
since jobs in Elementary Ed. are scarce.
