I am taking the Language Arts section of the FTCE exam for a 3rd time. I passed all other required subject areas with no problem but I am coming up well short on LA. I have read through two of the best reviewed study guides you can buy on Amazon and even purchased flashcards, but there are specific questions on the test that are nowhere to be found in these guides. I cannot remember exactly what they are about as I am obviously not allowed to take any notes during the exam, but I believe they pertained to questions about "levels" and student placement or classification based on their learning progress or conprehension.
A very very vague example might be, "one of your students is falling behind on their reading comprehension, whch level would this student be placed at"? Or, "one of your students is falling behind on their reading comprehension, would you recommend this student to be placed in X program".
In short, the questions are not about language arts in the sense of "which of these words are a hyperbole?", but more state level type questions about the student.
If this makes sense to anyone out there, please help! I just want to know what they are so that I can learn about them and hopefully pass this subject finally.

Hi - I was hoping for the same info. Please oh please
YuniI really need the same help about the essays topic. If you have something. Yesterday I took the essay, so I can help you too. Please email Me, thanks
Does anyone have suggestions to prepare for the essay portion of the english certification exam? I passed the multiple choice part but not the essay. Has anyone taken it more than once? Do they repeat the topics? I have an english degree and always did well on my papers. I am so frustrated.
YuniI am in the same situation but worst. I passed all the test, but the essay. I have only until April. Yesterday I took the test. You can email me at yuniluis47@gmail.com and let you know. If you can help me too, please do so.
they will stiff you on pay. completion of their sacred paperwork is more important to them the rights of employees. parents rule the roost, as do some of their unruly children. small wonder they have so many job vacancies!
somedayI took this test about 2 months ago. It wasn't bad. I recommend you take the full length praxis practice exam for business ed. These tests are so similar to Florida exams it's actually scary. If you can pass that you will be fine. Just review the questions you get right and the ones you missed.
If any Florida physical education teachers would be interested in participating in my study my email address is jusjae11@yahoo.com. Its very simple and can be accomplished via phone. I only need to ask 10 research questions. Thank you in advance.
I thought the purpose of this site was for teachers to help each other. I requested physical education teachers to assist with my dissertation, but yet I haven't had anyone respond.
I'd love to share with you an article I have written on how teachers could get started working with VIPKID like I did to earn extra money. The company motto is part-time work with full-time reward.
I'm looking to be a guest blogger if anyone could help me :-) my email is y.[email removed]
I am a "career changer" and am interested in passing the English exam. If there are any teachers online, whom have tips, study guides, or any suggestions to pass the exam, I would greatly appreciate the help!
