"I don’t worry as much as I did before. I worry less because I let my students do more stuff than in the past. Here is a list of 7 things that I currently permit my students to do that I would never have allowed as a first year teacher."
Hello, isn't it pretty hard to be a social studies teacher because it is for me because no one listens to me most of my class are either sleeping or doing some other stuff well if you fellow teachers know how to control this somewhat blustering class then type something, other than that, bye
In general, high school students are not interested in history or other social studies, or really any other academic subject either. Try to make lessons interactive and rely on group projects or student-driven activities. Listening to you lecture, reading the textbook, and then doing a worksheet or answering questions at the end of the chapter typically doesn't do it.

I'd like to provide awareness on the above topics, but need adequate resources to make it successful at our elementary school. Does anyone know where I can get bulk resources such as t-shirts, posters, cups, pencils, bulletin board displays, etc? I know they can be purchased from numerous sources, but it's out of pocket at this time.
