I will be interviewing soon for some elementary school teaching positions. Can anyone give me an idea of the types of questions that are typically asked at an elementary level? Thank you.
1. How is your relationship with your principal/building administrator? How this admin has reacted when people left in past?
2. How hard or easy for your current school district to replace you?
3. You may get the job at school you like: how likely it is that you WILL get the job?
4. People have left mid year due to be near family and take up jobs near your residence.
Best wishes.

A Duluth High School senior is suspended for 1-year and won't graduate on time. Why? For hugging a teacher. Mother of the student totally shocked, and is appealing the decision.
What do you think? Read the full story (linked) and share your thoughts.
Did this student go too far? Or are school officials overreacting to a harmless act of appreciation?

Isn't ranking school sizes for athletic purposes A through AAAAAA just a bit silly? Why not just call the school sizes 1-6?
I do realize Georgia is a state that doesn't realize that pre-planning is a repetitiously redundant term, or that post-planning should only be used when laying out fences.
Teachers who want to leave the classroom and n...See MoreAs a Former Teacher myself, I loved the classroom but after so many years I need a break; something new to challenge me. It was always my goal to only be in the classroom for a sho rt period of time. I actually become a Director of a private school for years; amongst other administrative jobs.
Teachers who want to leave the classroom and not the field o ften struggle with what can they do next????
Well there are many options a classroom teacher can pursue o utside of the classroom. Some Teachers work with agencies to find them other jobs in the field, some even consider subst ituting(I guess not be in one environment gives them freedom ) others apply for positions as Trainers especially with Bri ght from the start childcare licensing. There is a plethora of opportunities out there for Teachers. Take it from me, I have had the opportunity to explore options.
