I am a Lead Pre-K teacher in a private center. Since I will not be teaching this summer (and have a 10 month contract), would I be eligible for unemployment benefits for the summer? I will be teaching again in this center beginning in August for the next school year. Thanks!

Does anyone know what GACE tests I have to take to teach Georgia Pre-K Four? I was told 001 and 002. There is a lot of algebra and geometry on that which I find very strange for Pre-K.

Does anyone know if I have to enroll in a program to become a media specialist or if I can just simply pass the GACE to become qualified for the position? Thank you in advance!

I had been out of teaching for the past year and withdrew my TRS account and just cashed it out by receiving a refund of contributions. I figured since I was staying out of the state, I would find something somewhere else. That didn't pan out either. So after going through the process of getting the refund, I got an email out of the blue offering me a position back in GA. My question is will my closing of my TRS account and receiving the refund of contributions cause any problems from me being able to accept a teaching position in Ga? Thanks for any feedback.

Hello. Does anyone know if my salary will be reduced if I take an elementary teaching position even if my masters degree is not in early childhood education? My masters degree is in secondary education and I have been teaching middle/high school for over 12 years.

If I take the Early Childhood Education GACE and pass it, am I qualified to get a teaching position in an elementary school in Georgia? I am already a (current) certified teacher for grades 6-12 English/ESOL. Thanks!
Is getting media specialist certification worth it? I have heard that the jobs are both hard to get and starting to disappear due to layoffs, etc.... Any advice out there?
I am scheduled to take the GACE--Early Childhood Education soon. Are the GACE study guides worth the money? Does it help you pass the first time? Thank you.
Purviben K. Trivedi-ZiembaYes, they cover the info briefly. Check out GACE preparation guides and frameworks on GACE website.
