Has anyone had a Type 10 certification, LBS 1 and got a Type 03, Elementary later on? I would like the general curriculum base. I don't feel like I have a grasp on the general curriculum.

If so, do you have to take the whole 4 year program, or did you take just the classes you needed? Any recommendations on where to do this?

sped Actually, you can "split" your Type 10 into Type 03 and Type 09 and have both. This is typically done by teachers who want to add regular ed endorsements, usually at the secondary level, and possibly move into teaching reg ed.

Kathy I got my Type 3 when I got my Type 10 back in the dark ages (1977). Because of that I am Highly Qualified in all elementary subject areas, which has helped me be Highly Qualified in Special Education.
