Does anyone have creative ways to hold parent teacher conferences without the 1/2 days? Our district is strapped for cash (as many others are) and will not be able to add days to our teacher contracts.
Just looking to borrow good ideas - I do not want to lose the family/school team approach to support students.
Could you do some switching with another teacher by combining the class for a few hours each day so you could do your conferences during one or two afternoons a week and then the other teacher could do her conferences when you had the combined classes? I know teachers combine their classes sometimes for special events. So instead of one special event, you have enough that week to get your conferences in. Just thinking out loud.
Can anybody tell me what literary analysis would be for a second grader? If anybody could explain it to me in great detail i would really appreciate it.
I missed it by a few points the first time. Go through every post here. Cut and past into text documents and look up all the answers. Although the exact info may not be on the test you will take, you will overlap info and gain a ton facts that you will recall when taking the test!!! Thanks to all and good luck to the rest!!!!

I took the Comprehensive science 435 and did not pass by a few points. Any suggestions on a better study guide than from ETS. Also, any suggestions on topics covered on the Pedagogy 234 for the essay. Any help is greatly appreciated.
What is going on? Where is anyone who actually cares about teachers, be they novice or veteran? Aren't we supposed to care about ourselves? Where is the solidarity and all of that good stuff? Let us know what's going on. We are not alone.
