I have heard that it is very hard to get an Elem. Ed.
position here in Johnson County. Also, I am so scared that
it is too late to find a job! I fear that I didn't get all
of my credentials in until the last minute because my
cooperating teacher waited so (___ing) long to give me my
reference letter.

I am beginning to wonder if I should just give up and sub
next school year or even teach in KCMO. I am a good
teaching candidate because I have had really great evals by
all of my professors, supervisors, etc. and have had 4.0
throughout my teaching courses. I hope that this is not
just a waste for me!

Please give me some advice! Is there anything I can do to
help my situation? Is there anyone out there who has
recently been hired by a district here that can share what
the hiring process was like? Thanks for any help!

Yay! Thank you for your response! I am so relieved to hear that
things are just moving slowly. Yes I have had screening
interviews with all but one district I am interested in. I hope
they get that rediculous legislature thing figured out soon,
because it scared me to death!
