I have taken the Praxis test three times now and can't seem to pass. I made all A's in the Ed. program, but cant pass the test? This seems to be a wide spreading thing, or maybe not? Any suggestions?

I am a new teacher just out of College in Russellville, KY. I was told that some areas have a loan forgiveness program that erases some of the loans aquired while in college. If anyone knows anything about this, please email me.
Loan forgiveness programs can be found on the US dept. of education website....but you have to dig through quite a bit of old news releases. Takes a while. There are a lot or restrictions, including when you first loans were disbursed. I ended up not eligible because my FIRST loans were taken out about 10 years previous. You have to be very new to teaching and a college education in general, not just certified but with previous education using loans. I can't say that any of the programs are still in operation. They come for a couple years, then disappear. Good luck, if it works out for you. Kristi K
I am retired from the military and want to become a teacher. I have talked to the board in Frankfort and they seem to think with my background (sociology BS) I would do well as a high school social studies teacher. Does anyone have insight in the position out look for social studies teachers in the Louisville area. Plus any insight or study suggestions for the Social studies Praxis exams would be great.
I am looking for a teacher of Mandarin Chinese in the NE KY area. Classes will be 2 hours per week for 1 year or more. Pay is hourly at a negotiable rate; travel is reimbursed. Please contact me if you are interested.
