I'm trying to get a job teaching for the Fall. I'm planning on applying to several school districts. Does anyone know HOW the Statewide Reference Form needs to get to the people who do the hiring? Do my references need to mail them or can they come from me?

I was under the impression that the reference needs to mail it. There's a space at the bottom for you to write the address for where it needs to go. Fill it in so your reference knows where to send it.

I noticed you teach 6th grade science. I am a first year teacher attempting to teach 5th and 6th grade science and social studies. I am struggling most with the sixth grade science because the textbook that we have does not match the LCC at all! I was wondering if you had any advice for me. Thanks
I use Harcourt---It has a Bengal tiger on the cover and is a La. edition. It cam with cd's to listen to the lessons read to students, workbooks, and suplemental materials. i just love it because it covers all of La. GLE's. I visited this summer with the intention of teaching summer school at a charter and the conditions were horrible. Does the public schools here offer a better environment than the charter schools? I have now got a call from a public school to teach this Fall. I'm relocating from MI.
