As someone who is in a similar position to Adriana, I
certainly appreciate any and all views and, being the
intelligent woman that I am, can take it all with a grain
of salt, do my own research, and make up my own mind. I
find it truly off-putting and counter-productive to
gleefully denounce people who have alternate points of view
and celebrate their being unwelcome to post their
experience and views. I find that kind of close-mindedness
and judgment terribly eroding intellectually and
spiritually, and I can only hope that those who are trying
to kick folks off the boards are NOT teachers themselves.
Kids do not need THAT as an example of how to communicate
effectively or engage in debate.
I, for one, am well aware of the downside and dangers in
New Orleans specifically right now; one of the reasons I am
