I am currently certified as an Early Childhood teacher of students with and without disabilities. I am also trying to become certified in moderate special needs. I only want to work with children at the prek to grade 3 levels. My license is at the Professional level. Can I take the Early Childhood General Curriculum exam instead of the General curriculum for grades K-8?
onthepath I would suggest you call the Mass Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Jarod HM No. All the teachers that I know in your situation had to take General Curriculum to get the Moderate Disabilities license. The MA DESE website specifically requires the General Curriculum exam.
