Hello,

Can anyone here give me a basic understanding of the hiring timeline for a full-time teacher for the start of the upcoming school year?

I have applied to ~16 openings for a HS Chemistry Teacher through Schoolspring.com and Applitrack depending on the school district. For the Schoolspring.com site, a lot of my applications have been reviewed, some have not, and I received emails saying the I will be further considered for the ones that have, but nothing else. I would think that it would take weeks to find someone and then bring them aboard for orientation, etc. I am new at this, coming from industry. In the commercial sector it can take months for a new hire to be recruited, hired, and brought on board.

Thanks.
joma Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that the Lynn Public Schools are hiring chemistry teachers among other positions. You may want to apply directly.

chemteacher Thank you. That may be a little difficult for me to get to on a daily basis. I will look into though.

Thank you again.
