After watching reports of teachers in Maine possibly harrassing children, I was sickened. HOW DARE YOU! Any teacher found to have done this should be charged with child abuse! What ever happened to teachers' compassion for children? If this is true EVERY ONE OF YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
This situation is an absolute disgrace. The teachers that engaged in this type of activity are not fit to be in the classroom. Our military men and women are doing their job and their children should not be harrassed because of it.
The classroom is not the place for a teacher to impose his/her politics on the children they teach. I sincerely hope that these individuals are fired. Maybe they can find employment as human shields in Iraq!!!
Please contact the Maine Governor regarding this horrific behavior by some of Maine's teachers. These individuals need to be taken out of the classroom.
Thank you for that link. I wrote to the Governor tonight. I dont need teachers like that sullying my reputation as a professional. Disgusting lack of compassion for the children of those most at risk.

I wrote as well. Thank you for that link. While these brave souls are defending our country who will be left to defend their children? We need to let the government know this will not be tolerated, this is anti-american, anti-child, anti- professional educator, anti-compassion, NOT anti-war.

As an ARMY veteran with 7 children. I would hope as I was being shipped out. That my children and spouse would be safe at home from physical and emotional ABUSE by teachers who are paid by my TAX dollars!!!! WE must protect the children NOW, while their parent/s are on the battlefield. These teachers waited till the strongman was away before they abused these little ones. WELL AMERICA won't stand for this!!!! Those of us here on the homefront MUST take action against the teachers now!!! We must rise up and form a wall of protection around these sons and daughters of AMERICA!

During the 1991 Gulf War, U.S. allies joined in the battle and paid the freight. The present Bush Administration not only has to promise big bucks to buy ‘allies’ for its Iraqi adventure, it has to make some of these deals in writing.
Pathetic. Absurd. And meriting a song on both counts. This one may remind you a bit of Country Joe’s anti-Vietnam war ditty, “I Feel Like I’m Fixin-To-Die Rag. “ You could be hearing a lot of Iraqi invasion protest songs in months to come...
The Coalition Of The Willing Song
Step right up and make a killing Join...The Coalition Of The Willing You won’t have to do no shooting You’re just in it for the looting All the hard stuff is done by Sam You just nod on cue Yeah!
Easy way to fill your coffers Never been no better offers Surer than working, safer than stealing Tap this mother lode while Sam is reeling He needs a fig leaf, you need the money All you do is nod on cue Yeah!
In this phony coalition Piddling states feed big ambition You get fat on Sam’s obsession Chuckle when he slides in to recession Get this deal in writing, though Then queue up to nod cue Yeah!
Step right up and make a killing Join...The Coalition Of The Willing You won’t have to do no shooting You’re just in it for the looting All the hard stuff is done by Sam You just nod on cue
I respectfully disagree that it is possible to purchase long term alliances. Perhaps the current adm is not in cahoots selling nuclear weapons to those lesser developed countries and can only offer money and alliance in exchange for peace, goodwill. What a concept
No mention of the hundreds of missiles launched on Iraq during the Clinton adminstration. Not much of a fuss then was there? Why is that? I didnt vote for Bush-but I will next time. He has brought honor & morality back
your position on foreign policy. That's the point. The debate should be among adults.
Teachers are abusing their positions by imposing their politcal beliefs on and at the expense of the children of our military. This is not a partisan issue and your attempt to make it one is despicable.
You should be outraged at this situation regardless of your poistion on military action in Iraq. Your lack of objection to the specific issue at hand and your flippant lyrical "arguments" against the war speak volumes of your lack of character and lack of cogent, resaoned arguments for your largely irrelvant position on foreign policy.

Its incredible how ignorant, sadistic and lazy these Maine "teachers" have become. As an immigrant from Europe my family has seen the horrors of a dictator gone mad and unchecked - his name need not be repeated. Unfortunately, Maine's "teachers" have forgotten about him.
They sit in their cozy conference rooms sipping coffee while our servicemen go out to risk their lives, sacrifice their livelihoods in the name of freedom. Freedom is not free and it is not cheap. It has always been and always will have to be fought for.
These "teachers'" ignorance is understandable given the sad state of our education system. The "teachers" should teach the children to read instead of bad-mouthing their parents. The "teachers" should teach the children to add and subtract instead of humiliating them.
Until then, those Maine "teachers" are propagandists, not real teachers.
if a teacher ever tried to abuse me.
I think that i would be forced to tr y and pertect myself
even if that means hitting that teacher back
